We believe in better. And we make it happen.
Better content. Better products. And better careers.
Working in Tech, Product or Data at Sky is about building the next and the new. From broadband to broadcast, streaming to mobile, SkyQ to Sky Glass, we never stand still. We optimise and innovate.
We turn big ideas into the products, content and services millions of people love.
And we do it all right here at Sky.
What you'll do- This role is a blend of both business and technical analysis focusing predominantly on the subscription & offer management area of Sales and Service, supporting both European and US markets. Given the nature of the role it is flawless for someone who wants to work alongside product while also being involved in the lower-level technical detail.- You'll be part of the Sales and Service Central Analyst Team working closely with Product and Technology in the early stages of a project. Providing a high-level impact assessment of the requirements end to end, specially focusing on purchase journeys covering both the frontend UI and backend catalogue and offer management.- Analyse business requirements against the technical solution provided by the Solution Architects and Principal Engineers. Ensuring that the customer experience is always front of mind, and that the requirements and solution are fit for purpose.- Facilitate and actively participate in workshops to introduce projects and solutions to delivery teams alongside Product and Architecture. Collaborate with Technical Analysts that are embedded in delivery teams, providing clarification on team specific questions and validate assumptions related to a given project.- Build, update, and maintain documentation including artefacts such as API specifications, Sequence diagrams and Flow Charts.- Identify and mitigate dependencies; calling out project level dependencies that need to be addressed at the point of road mapping and solution specific dependencies that require contracts to be agreed between teams, both internal and external.
What you'll bring- Experience working with product and agile technology delivery teams, an understanding of work intake processes and agile ways of working- A keen energy to learn, not be afraid of being thrown in at the deep end with little information of a problem- Hands on analysis experience in technology projects, problem-solving skills, and a passion to learn- Interpret and modify technical artefacts including API specifications, architectural sequence diagrams, flow charts and communicate them expertly to others- Ability to define requirements through interviews/workshops and to improve processes and working practices, balancing costs and benefits when evaluating possible solutions- Adaptability, no two days are the same at Sky - and even more so in our team supporting multiple portfolios of work. Being flexible in your approach and be able to context switch is key- Great collaboration and facilitation skills. You should have the ability to get the best out of people, be confident facilitating meetings, workshops and planning sessions that bring people together.
