Precinct Caretaker

Work for a commercial property developer assisting in the cleaning/maintenance of their flagship ACT site

**Your new company**

An interesting and exciting opportunity has arisen within a privately owned organisation with large and specialised facilities across multiple sites in Canberra. This organisation prides itself on their culture and unique working environment. The Precinct Caretaker vacancy will ensure the presentation, maintenance and compliance to relevant Australian Standards are applied to all assets within the company.

**Your new role**

To provide professional and superior customer service to the tenants of all the encompassing precincts. The Caretaker's purpose is to use their initiative and drive to improve the customer experience. There are 3 main areas of the role

Customer Service
- Provide friendly, professional and courteous customer service to all tenants through positive interaction with all customer values. Investigate tenant's concerns with regard to their tenancy, building or precinct, in a timely manner.
- The Caretaker represents, through presentation, including behaviour and actions through their role, ensuring they adopt the "here to help" customer service approach of all employees.

Precinct Presentation
- The Caretaker will adhere to the Uniform and Presentation Policy by ensuring their personal appearance is up to a high standard. This means ensuring the uniform is always clean and in good condition.
- Ensure that the buildings and surrounds are rubbish and waste free, guaranteeing all sites are always presented at their best. This will include the use of cleaning equipment when required.
- Use initiative and decision-making to ensure the smooth operations of the buildings and precinct.
- Pressure washing, emptying bins, removal of cobwebs

Maintenance
- The Caretaker will attend to minor maintenance works (within their skill level) as requested by the Facilities Manager or a Team Leader.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Previous exposure within cleaning/maintenance
- White Card & Asbestos Awareness
- Valid Drivers License
