**Purpose**

The primary objective/s of the position are to lead the Maintenance Delivery team in the provision of /
maintenance services across water and sewer assets for internal and external customers, further developing our
staff and proactive safety culture and enhancing the customer experience.

This role manages approximately staff across three teams:

- Civil Maintenance: Delivery of reactive and planned maintenance activities across water and sewer

networks.
- Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance: Delivery of reactive, corrective and scheduled maintenance

activities through key partnership with Comdain Infrastructure, across water and sewer networks,

treatment plants and water resources assets.
- Works Management Centre: Receiving customer calls and work requests, dispatching to field, SCADA

and other monitoring services and reporting on maintenance performance.

**Key Duties/Responsibilities**
- Continuously improve safe working practices in collaboration with team members and contractors to

further develop proactive safety culture;
- Leadership, development and coaching of team leaders and team members;
- Manage delivery of scheduled, corrective and reactive civil and mechanical electrical maintenance

activities to ensure reliable and sustainable water and sewer services for customers;
- Develop and implement initiatives to enhance the CHW customer experience;
- Identify and implement improvements to maintenance systems and practices, to improve efficiency and

reduce risk to water quality and the environment;
- Provide and supervise effective contractor management to achieve contract goals through collaborative

partnerships with service providers;
- Manage large fleet of vehicles, plant and equipment and maintenance depots at Wendouree,

Maryborough and Daylesford;
- Prepare and analyse budgets and expenditure and prepare written reports as required;
- Analyse and report on maintenance performance and customer outcomes for the Essential Services

Commission (ESC) and other stakeholders;
- Take part in the On-Call Incident Management (OCIM) roster;
- Undertake higher duties responsibilities as required;
- Other duties as directed.

- At all times, create, maintain and foster a safe work environment and ensure compliance with the

provisions of the Occupational Health and safety Act, Regulations, and CHW policies and procedures;
- Accountable for people leadership, goal setting and development across the Maintenance Delivery

team;
- Accountable for responsible budget and resource management in accordance with allocated cost

centres;
