Job Title: Facilities Manager - Buildings And Grounds

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a school environment and contribute to the delivery of high-quality facilities management services.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in general grounds and building maintenance, with skills in using tools and equipment relevant to the position. They will also have technical knowledge and proficiency in minor repairs and maintenance to buildings.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out physical tasks, including building maintenance, handyman work, and grounds keeping.
  • Efficiently manage and maintain grounds and gardens, and complete grounds works as required.
  • Engage and liaise with contractors on site, manage minor projects, and be mindful of OHS practices and protocols.
  • Maintain a database system to track cyclic maintenance, repairs, and contractors.
  • Work independently to maintain school buildings and grounds.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A demonstrated ability to carry out physical tasks, with experience in building maintenance, handyman work, and grounds keeping.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge and proficiency in minor repairs and maintenance to buildings, as well as skills in using tools and equipment relevant to the position.
  • Ability to efficiently manage and maintain grounds and gardens, and complete grounds works as required within a school environment.
  • The capacity to engage and liaise with contractors on site, manage minor projects, and be mindful of OHS practices and protocols.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a database system to track cyclic maintenance, repairs, and contractors.
  • Flexibility and ability to work independently to maintain school buildings and grounds.
