**Building Maintenance Coordinator**
We're seeking a skilled and proactive Building Maintenance Coordinator to oversee the daily operations of The Western Sydney Records Centre and its offsite facilities. In this hands-on role, you'll ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective maintenance of buildings and equipment—playing a key role in preserving NSW's archival heritage. **What the opportunity is**:
- Employment with Museums of History NSW
- Clerk Grade 5/6. Remuneration package includes salary ($99,938 to $110,271), employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
- Ongoing full-time employment.
- The role will work across Sydney.
**What we do**
Museums of History NSW brings together a portfolio of iconic museums, rich collections and heritage sites, the nation's oldest archive collection, vital recordkeeping services and expert staff.
We bring history to life by sharing the stories of our places and collections. Through the State Archives Collection, we manage NSW's official documentary heritage, supporting government transparency and the public's right to access information.
These two roles do not just sit side by side - they inform and enrich each other. By preserving and making accessible our places, collections and archives, we create opportunities for people to explore the past and better understand their own place in the world. Museums of History NSW is a state cultural institution, established under the Museums of History NSW Act 2022. It is an agency of the NSW Department of Creative Industries, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport (DCITHS).
**What you'll do with us**:
This role supports the day-to-day operations of The Western Sydney Records Centre and its offsite' sites by monitoring and coordinating the maintenance and repair of plant, equipment and buildings to ensure that they operate in an efficient, effective and safe manner.

**What you need to do to apply**

**What you need to tell us - Targeted questions**:
1. Describe a time when you have overcome an issue with maintenance workers, vendors or other outside contractors. How did you manage the issue and what action did you take to minimise the risk of it being repeated?
2. Please outline your experience with facilities management software technologies. Provide an example of when you have had to learn or transition to a new facilities management software technology.
**Essential requirements of the role**:
- A current Australian driver's licence.
- Willingness to work across and ability to travel to multiple work locations.
- Ability to participate in the Facilities and Security Team after hours on-call roster system.
**Also note**:
- To be eligible for an ongoing role in the NSW Public Sector you need to be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident. For temporary and casual roles, you need to hold a valid visa giving you permission to work in Australia as required by the role.
- A talent pool may be created for future ongoing and temporary roles and is valid for a period of up to 18 months.
