About the role

Waterpoint Building Management is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Building Manager to join our team in Woolooware Bay, NSW. This full-time role will provide you with the opportunity to support the effective management and maintenance of commercial and residential properties. Working closely with the Lead Building Manager, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our properties.

What you'll be doing

  • Assist the Building Manager with the overall management and maintenance of commercial and residential properties

  • Liaise with tenants, contractors and other stakeholders to address inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner

  • Coordinate and oversee the work of tradespeople and service providers to ensure properties are well-maintained

  • Conduct regular inspections of properties and identify any maintenance or repair requirements

  • Support the preparation of financial reports, budgets and other administrative tasks

  • Ensure properties comply with relevant legislation, regulations and safety standards

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience in a building management or facilities management role, preferably in the commercial and/or residential property sector

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines

  • Proficient in the use of property management software and Microsoft Office suite

  • Knowledge of relevant building, safety and compliance regulations

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in property management, facilities management or a related field would be highly regarded
