We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our cultural inclusion initiatives and ensure that all students feel valued and supported.
Job Description
The Acting Head of Cultural Inclusion will be responsible for developing and implementing programs to promote cultural awareness and understanding among students, teachers, and staff. This will involve working closely with the Learning Diversity Leaders to create a positive learning environment that meets the needs of all students, particularly those from refugee backgrounds or who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
The role will also involve coordinating the EAL program across all year levels, 7-12, and ensuring that curriculum programs are tailored to meet the individual needs of students. Additionally, the Acting Head of Cultural Inclusion will be responsible for case management and providing holistic support to students who require it due to their experiences and external factors.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a strong commitment to Catholic education and a proven track record of promoting diversity and inclusion. You will also need to have:
a demonstrated knowledge of the Australian curriculum frameworks;
a strong understanding of how students learn best;
registration or ability to register with VIT;
a passion for making a real difference in the lives of students.
