An exciting opportunity exists for the Manager - Workforce Capability to provide strategic leadership and expert Workforce Capability advice to the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service Executive and other senior key stakeholders across the organisation whilst being responsible for the operational management of the Workforce Capability team, including the Learning Management System which supports the Workforce Capability function.

This position works collaboratively with the broader Workforce leadership group to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of Workforce services to support the Health Service Strategic plan and priorities and operates in a complex environment involving a wide range of competing priorities and stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities include**:
- Lead the research, development, and implementation of Workforce Capability strategies, frameworks, tools and reporting mechanisms and undertake continuous review to drive innovative and value-added strategic Workforce Capability Culture initiatives to meet the current and future workforce requirements of SCHHS.
- Provide expert, authoritative and time critical advice and high-level consultancy services to Executive staff and Senior Managers on Workforce matters, with specific reference to Workforce Capability matters, through interpretation of legislation, directives, industrial instruments, Human Resource policies and guidelines
- Provide expert advice and support to the Health Service Chief Executive and Executive on Workforce Capability Culture matters including the drafting of Executive Briefs and Board
- Build, develop and maintain strong working partnerships across all levels of the organisation and with external partners using high-level written and interpersonal skills, being able to negotiate persuasively to influence change, and engage collaboratively to ensure systems, procedures and processes are continuously improved and strategic, business and operational objectives are met.
