**About the Team**
As part of the Legal & Commercial Team, the Trade Compliance Officer reports through to our Trade Compliance Manager. The Trade Compliance team is a small team of 3 at the moment and will likely expand as RDA continues to grow. This role is based at our Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence (MILVEHCOE) in Redbank, Ipswich.
**About the Role**
You will also be responsible for acting as the primary point of contact for the records, providing advice to the business, maintaining Trade Compliance training scheduling and attendance records, managing permit and licence expiry and renewal management and assisting with Rheinmetall's various projects and business operations.
There will also be opportunities for you to be trained in general trade compliance and undertake personal training to develop your trade compliance capabilities, including in relation to ITAR, with a view to becoming a trade compliance professional.

- **Trade Compliance Officer, **you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:
- Manage the creation and maintenance of registers, records and other data for explosives licences, munitions and firearms licences, import and export permits and Technical Assistance Agreements;
- Oversee licence and permit expiry and renewal management and ITAR records;
- Be the Trade Compliance point of contact for all reporting requirements (e.g. Contract reviews, project status reports, ITAR Non Disclosure Agreements, TAA Amendments, etc);
- Assist in providing advice/ guidance to internal and external customers on trade compliance record keeping requirements, specifically ITAR/EAR procedures, export/import documentation, license management and record keeping, as required;
- Develop and improve policies, processes and internal controls with respect to export controlled activities and document record management related activities;
- Provide day-to-day assistance to the business on import/export matters, including Australia, US (ITAR & EAR), and other international requirements;
- With direction from the Trade Compliance Manager, develop and manage project ITAR Technology Control Plans;
- Address record keeping issues in existing programs and new business opportunities, provide assistance with internal export compliance audits of Im/Ex activities, support internal and external trade compliance training sessions that support the businesses obligations, and provide export training for all employees to support their awareness and understanding; and
- Fulfil other duties and responsibilities that may be required as determined by the Trade Compliance Manager (TCM) from time to time.

- Ability to travel interstate when required.
