Job Title: Global Trade Compliance Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Global Trade Compliance Specialist. This role is responsible for providing expert guidance on complex trade requirements and regulations, collaborating with stakeholders to solve problems and offer innovative solutions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide Boeing entities throughout Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific with guidance across regulatory export requirements, focusing on US, Australian, and New Zealand legislation.
  • Implement internal controls for trade control compliance, direct trade control activity, and provide guidance to Boeing entities and programs regarding incorporating trade control requirements into program and/or functional processes and procedures.
  • Act as a liaison between Boeing and customers and suppliers for trade control-related matters.
  • Analyse applicability of trade control requirements relating to both DCS and FMS procurement methods.
  • Assist with planning of export licensing requirements for contracted activities and potential future activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Knowledge of both sovereign Australian export controls regulations, as well as US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and US Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
  • Acquisition experience in the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) or Prime Contractor organisation; and/or Experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, and Customs Procedures.
  • Effective communication and influencing skills working with managers and supervisors.
  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Law, or related disciplines may be advantageous.
