Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Trade Compliance Specialist to join our team in ensuring regulatory and commercial obligations are met.

About The Role

This specialist will provide subject matter expertise on import and export control needs, guiding project teams on accessing controlled technology. They are responsible for applications and management of permits and licenses.

The role offers flexibility with various working schedules including full-time, part-time or school hours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on requirements and obligations under international trade regulations.
  • Identify licensing requirements for projects to manage regulatory risks.
  • Ensure products and technical data are marked and handled correctly.
  • Guide project teams on accessing controlled technology.
  • Prepare and deliver training on export control.
  • Assist with compliance reporting.
  • Provide advice on trade regulations, policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Practical experience in compliance, regulatory affairs or export control.
  • Strong understanding of Australian export control legislation.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. ITAR and EAR.
  • Ability to travel internationally and interstate when required.
  • Eligibility for an NV1 security clearance.
