About Global Trade Control

We are seeking a talented professional to join our team as a Global Trade Control Specialist. This role is responsible for providing guidance on complex trade requirements and regulations, collaborating with stakeholders to solve problems, and shaping regulatory policies to advance long-term objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance across regulatory export requirements, including US, Australian and New Zealand legislation;
  • Implement internal controls for trade control compliance and provide guidance to entities and programs;
  • Act as a liaison between customers and suppliers for trade control-related matters;
  • Analyse applicability of trade control requirements relating to both DCS and FMS procurement methods.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Knowledge of sovereign Australian export controls regulations, US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and US Export Administration Regulations (EAR);
  • Acquisition experience in the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) or Prime Contractor organisation; and/or experience in Supply Chain, Logistics and Customs Procedures;
  • Effective communication and influencing skills working with managers and supervisors;
  • Citizenship of Australia required to meet defence security requirements.
