**Who is the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator?**

The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) commenced operations in 2013 as a national entity responsible for
regulating all vehicles in Australia over 4.5 tonnes gross vehicle mass. Located in Brisbane, the NHVR minimises the
compliance burden on the heavy vehicle transport industry, reduces duplication and inconsistencies across state and
territory borders, and ultimately for the heavy vehicle business with government in Australia.

Position Description | Technology Engagement Manager

**Environment**

Through leadership and influence, the NHVR administers a national system that delivers consistent and streamlined
regulatory services and administration to the Australian heavy vehicle road transport sector, reducing regulatory burden
whilst enabling greater safety and productivity.

The Data and Technology Division provides thought leadership and is responsible for the IT, Analytics, Data, and Digital
across all NHVR functions.

**Primary Objectives**

Become the Data and Technology "front door" by engaging and developing strong relationships with Divisional business
units, to determine business objectives and priorities. This role works as part of the Data and Technology team to identify
strategic, business improvement and key risk areas requiring investment and find solutions by driving collaboration with
vendors and the other teams within Data and Technology.

**Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities**
- Design and implement the Data and Technology engagement process.
- Provide an exceptional level of relationship management, always treating NHVR business contacts as customers.
- Establish, then lead and manage the Portfolio Planning process for Data and Technology investment across NHVR.
- Build, monitor and manage a portfolio of roadmap initiatives, creating powerful presentation deliverables that tell

stories from the insights.
- Establish processes to maintain transparent and ongoing alignment with business units on priorities as they change,

working within Data and Technology teams teams to ensure priorities are managed.
- Manage and document assessments of current and future state in terms of both functional and non functional

requirements and support business areas with process mapping and service delivery practices.
- Prepare business cases with clearly defined scope, benefits, cost and outcomes with appropriate inclusions to address

information security and risk.
- Champion and drive awareness of Data and Technology strategy including technology adoption and transformation

activies that benefit NHVR outcomes.
- Provide accurate and timely reporting to the Director Strategy & Architecture, business unit managers and other

senior members of the organisation on investment portfolios.
- Positively promote and actively role model NHVR values and behaviours to support the delivery of our service
- Adhere to all NHVR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with NHVR internal processes.
- Comply with WH&S policies and procedures and contribute and promote a safe and healthy work environment.
