**Who are we looking for?**
Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is seeking a Events and Engagement Officer to join Alumni and Corporate Events, Business Development Portfolio, Chancellery Division.
The Events and Engagement Officer works to plan and execute events and engagement activities to assist build and maintain QUT's reputation within the corporate community.

Chancellery Division is responsible for strategy, including Indigenous strategy, government relations and policy, assurance and risk, international, marketing and communications, and business development. The Chancellery Division is led by the Vice-Chancellor and President.
The Business Development Portfolio provides university-wide coordination and stewardship of QUT's engagement with industry, philanthropic and alumni communities. Led by the Vice-President (Business Development), the following areas fall within the Portfolio's responsibility:
- Office of the Vice-President (Business Development);
- Industry Engagement;
- Advancement; and
- Alumni & Corporate Events.
The Vice-President (Business Development) also provides executive oversight as the senior executive contact for QUT Enterprise Holdings (QEH) and its subsidiary companies.
**What you need to succeed**
Your expertise and initiative, combined with your ability to work as an excellent team player will be vital to your success in this role.
You will demonstrate:
- Completion of an undergraduate degree qualification and/or at least three years relevant work experience in event management
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence, collaborate and communicate professionally
Well-developed written communication and proof reading skills, with exceptional attention to detail
- Project and event management skills with demonstrated time management and organisational skills, able to prioritise tasks to meet competing deadlines
- Well-developed digital literacy skills. Experience using event management software would be an advantage
- Demonstrated ability to show initiative, and work collaboratively as a member of a high performing team.
