**The Company**
Our client is a majority Australian owned and operated diverse ASX listed company with business interests and operations spanning resources, exploration, operations, oil, agriculture, technology, and investments. They are currently recruiting a Commercial Infrastructure Specialist on a permanent, part-time basis working 3-days per week, may be negotiable to 4-days per week.
**The Role**
Reporting into the Procurement & Infrastructure Manager, this Commercial Infrastructure Specialist will develop and manage the business' logistics infrastructure requirements across port and rail. Minimising cost, ensuring security of supply and drive improvements to contractual and regulatory infrastructure arrangements to achieve improved operational performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and drive group strategy and support commercial and regulatory processes, identify, and manage operational performance issues.
- Represent the business interests within relevant infrastructure and supply chain forums in Queensland and NSW.
- Develop and maintain industry stakeholder relationships to identify opportunities and risks.
- Identify, communicate, and evaluate logistics and infrastructure capability gaps.
- Consider regulatory developments in related industries, review and participate in regulatory processes that affect the company entities.
- Draft and lodge submission to regulators.
- Manage logistics and infrastructure service providers delivery performance.
- Establish and maintain appropriate contractual arrangements with service providers.
- Identify and deliver relevant infrastructure continuous improvement opportunities.
**Skills & Experience**
- Extensive relevant experience in a commercial and regulatory focused role within infrastructure and/or logistics is preferred.
- Degree qualification in commerce, law, economics, or supply chain is highly desirable.
- Strong negotiation and supplier performance management skills.
- Excellent legal acumen with the ability to interpret, draft and negotiate complex contract agreements.
- Experience in participating and managing supply chain forums and industry groups is preferred.
