**Description**:
ConsMin produces some of the world's highest grade manganese ore and is considered a world leader in manganese mining. Our ConsMin Australian operation (Woodie Woodie) is based in the WA Pilbara, 407kms south-east of Port Hedland. Enjoy a short two-hour flight direct to our well-equipped camp and mining operation - only a five minute drive from Woodie airport.
Reporting to the Metallurgist, this position will support our ongoing Tailing Recovery Project and involves hands-on work with pilot testing and screening activities. This role provides an excellent opportunity to learn and work with some of the industry's most advanced fine particle gravity separation technologies. You will be required to:
Perform Pilot Tests on RC300, High-Frequency Screen, and PSD Wet Screening. 70% fieldwork and 30% office-based work.
Conduct metallurgical testing, data collection, and process optimization activities.
Report to the Project Lead, support Metallurgist in testing, data collection, process optimization, and troubleshooting plant performance.
Ensure all testing is conducted with safety and compliance in mind.
Perform data entry and reporting for test results.
Operate equipment safely in line with ConsMin policies and procedures as well as advocating safe working practices.
**Requirements to be successful in this role are**:
A degree in chemistry, metallurgy, or materials engineering is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with critical thinking ability.
Ability to work in a remote FIFO environment on a 7:7 roster (Monday to Monday).
Must possess a C Class driver's license.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.
National Police Clearance (No older than 6 months).
Strong commitment to following health, safety and environment policies and procedures.
Excellent organisational, communication skills and high attention to detail.
Applicants must be able to pass a full pre-employment medical, provide a clean NPC (dated within the last 6 months (or able to obtain) and provide valid references.
