Metallurgy Technician Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a reputable organization as a Metallurgy Technician in Western Australia. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in metallurgy, chemistry or materials engineering.

The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently in a remote FIFO environment and be responsible for performing pilot tests, conducting metallurgical testing, data collection and process optimization activities. They will also be required to report to the Project Lead and ensure that all testing is conducted with safety and compliance in mind.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pilot testing of RC300, High-Frequency Screen and PSD Wet Screening
  • Metallurgical testing, data collection and process optimization activities
  • Reporting to the Project Lead and supporting the Metallurgist in testing, data collection, process optimization and troubleshooting plant performance
  • Data entry and reporting for test results

Requirements:

  • Degree in chemistry, metallurgy or materials engineering
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with critical thinking ability
  • Ability to work in a remote FIFO environment on a 7:7 roster (Monday to Monday)
  • C Class driver's license
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team
  • National Police Clearance (No older than 6 months)
