Transport for NSW is seeking a casual School Crossing Supervisor for the Cumberland Local Government Area. This on-site role provides relief at school sites in Cumberland and contributes to road safety for children, parents, teachers and local motorists.

In this Role
Become a Road Safety Hero that is held in very high esteem in our communities and vital to the safety of our kids, parents, teachers and local motorists. You'll also grow to be a much-loved familiar face around the school with a unique opportunity to touch the lives of countless families.
This casual position provides relief at sites in the Cumberland Local Government Area. Shifts may fall between the school zone hours 8.00 to 9.30 AM and 2.30 to 4.00 PM, with a minimum of one hour shift as required Monday to Friday during the school term.
You will receive an hourly rate along with superannuation.
About You
You are a community minded person who would like to contribute.
You'd get a kick out of making community relationships, keeping kids safe whilst earning a weekly wage for doing something you love and enjoy.
You're reliable and prepared to show up for your community - in good or bad weather.
You'll display effective communication skills and be alert to potential dangers.

Requirements & Pre-employment checks
Applicants must be 18 years of age at the time of appointment.
All training, uniforms and equipment will be provided.
And one more thing As you'll be working with children on our roads, your willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check, Reference Checks, Police Check, and a Health Assessment is vital. Don't worry if you haven't done this before, we will help you through the process If you already have a Working with Children Check, that's fantastic as that will speed up the process.

If successful, you will progress to pre-employment checks stage. Applications close 11:59pm on Sunday 14 September 2025. A Talent Pool may be created for current and future casual and permanent part time positions over the next 18-month period.
