Overview
School Crossing Supervisor – Canterbury/ Bankstown Local Government Area at Transport for NSW. Casual position providing relief at sites within the Canterbury/ Bankstown Local Government Area.
Responsibilities
Be a Road Safety Hero that is held in very high esteem in our communities and vital to the safety of our kids, parents, teachers and local motorists. You'll grow to be a familiar face around the school with a unique opportunity to touch the lives of countless families.
Provide relief at school crossing sites within the Canterbury/ Bankstown Local Government Area.
Work shifts when school is in session, typically between 8.00 to 9.30 AM and 2.30 to 4.00 PM, with a minimum of one hour per shift as required, Monday to Friday during the school term.
Operate in a way that prioritises safety and communicates effectively with the community.

You're a community-minded person who wants to contribute and connect with local families.
You'll derive satisfaction from building community relationships, keeping kids safe, and earning a weekly wage for doing something you love.
You're reliable and prepared to show up for your community in all weather conditions.
You'll display effective communication skills and be alert to potential dangers.
Qualifications & Requirements
Applicants must be 18 years of age at the time of appointment.
All training, uniforms and equipment will be provided.
Willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check, Reference Checks, Police Check, and a Health Assessment. If you already have a Working with Children Check, that will speed up the process.
What We Offer
Hourly rate with superannuation.
This is an on-site, in-person role.

Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by the week commencing 15th September 2025 for a quick 5–10 minute phone interview, followed by panel interviews.
If successful, you will progress to pre-employment checks. A Talent Pool may be created for current and future casual and part-time positions over the next 18 months.
