Responsibilities
Provide school crossing supervision to ensure the safety of students, parents, teachers, and local motorists during school start and finish times.
Operate in all weather conditions to support community safety and deliver positive safety outcomes.
Be a reliable and visible presence at the school, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for families.
Engage with the school community and communicate potential safety concerns when needed.
Shifts and Hours
School Crossing supervision falls within the school zone hours: 8:30 – 9:30 AM and 2:45 – 3:45 PM, Monday to Friday.
Total commitment: approximately 20 hours per fortnight.
About You
Community minded with a focus on keeping kids safe.
Reliable, able to work in all weather, and capable of establishing positive community relationships.
Effective communication and alertness to potential dangers.
Willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check, Reference Checks, Police Check, and Health Assessment. Training, uniforms, and equipment are provided.
Requirements and Checks
Applicants must be 18 years of age at the time of appointment.
Willingness to obtain Working with Children Check, Reference Checks, Police Check, and Health Assessment.
Existing Working with Children Check is advantageous to speed the process.
