**Oriental Merchant** is a leading importer and distributor of authentic Asian groceries, supplying major supermarket chains such as Coles, and Woolworths and Independent stores with brands familiar throughout Asia Pacific. We are proud of what we have achieved in growing Asian food categories in Australia as well an international portfolio in New Zealand, Europe, Canada, Japan and the UK.

We are looking for an entry-level Assistant to join our Marketing team and you could be what we are looking for

**Responsibilities**:

- Proactively develop and execute marketing projects that help promote authentic Asian cuisines and their related food stories/cultures.
- Manage the operations and execution of on-ground projects including promotional events, roadshows, pop-up stores, sampling and cooking demonstrations consumer promotion etc.
- Build strong relationships with agencies, vendors, media and industry experts and sponsors
- Assist supervisor in developing marketing proposals, and completing post-campaign reports and analyses.
- Assist the supervisor in identifying and negotiating with sponsors and business partners for sponsorships and marketing proposals.
- Assist supervisor in managing campaign budget and expenses, and make cost recommendations to ensure adherence to the agreed budget.
- Assist supervisor in content planning, and brainstorming of ideas to improve the performance of digital portals.
- Assist supervisor in managing collaborative work with chefs and foodie partners in creating authentic Asian recipes
- Assist with all other duties as and when required.

**What You'll Need to Succeed**:

- Full Australian working rights
- Experience in using Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- A degree related to Marketing will be considered advantageous.
