**About the Opportunity**

This position is an integral member of Council's Waste and Resource Recovery operations team. As a Landfill Operator you will:

- Be responsible for undertaking waste operations at Mitchell Landfill including receiving, compacting and covering waste
- Carry out key landfill operations in accordance with all Victorian Environment Protection Authority (EPA) requirements and landfill licence conditions.
- Ensure that all necessary plant and machinery on site is kept in a safe and serviceable condition

This is a casual opportunity. Remuneration begins at $44.02 per hour (Band 3) plus superannuation.

**About You**

We are seeking an enthusiastic and team focused operator to join our Landfill operations team. Under the direction and guidance of the Team Leader, you will be responsible for undertaking daily landfill operation activities at Mitchell Landfill.
