Engineer Opportunities for Senior Landfill Professionals

About the Position:
We seek an experienced professional to lead our landfill engineering projects in Melbourne. As a senior engineer, you will oversee various tasks including project management, design investigations, and developing solutions to environmental issues at and near landfills.
The successful candidate will provide leadership on projects such as landfill cell design, leachate and gas capture system design, landfill rehabilitation, and environmental assessment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and supervising landfill cells and liners
- Developing leachate and gas capture systems
- Leading landfill rehabilitation and development projects
- Conducting environmental assessments, risk assessments, and monitoring
- Designing mitigation systems for landfill gas and soil vapour
The ideal candidate will have a degree in environmental science or engineering and 6-12+ years of experience in consulting or a similar role. You must possess strong written and verbal communication skills, be able to work independently, and collaborate with other experts.
Key qualifications include:
- Professional degree in environmental science or engineering
- Proven capability in environmental management and remediation
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
- High level understanding of landfill engineering principles
- Expertise in Vic EPA requirements for landfill operators
