**About the role**
We are looking for a Live Run Coordinator to oversee and coordinate the efficient movement of product from mine site to ship including road haulage, rail haulage and port operations. The role is critical in identifying improvement opportunities and identifying deviations to plan and recovering to plan or exceeding planned targets.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring train running does not deviate from schedules and if deviations exist, appropriate recovery plans are actioned.
- Ensuring road haulage operations do not bottleneck from monitoring real time truck positions, loading and tipping operations and external influences such as road works.
- Ensuring shipment grades are achieved by monitoring delivery of product to port is as per inload plans.
- Identifying improvement opportunities and developing actions to implement improvement initiatives.
- Ensuring communication flow exists between various internal and external stakeholders to plan and execute operations in an efficient manner.
- Reporting of safety and operational performance.
- Management of incidents as/when they occur as per MRL Incident Management Procedures.
- Investigate incidents in a timely manner and provide actions to ensure recurrences do not occur.
This position reports directly to the Rail and TOP Manager, with a high level of support at a senior level.
**What you'll bring to the team**
- ICAM training
- Experience working in or understanding of live run logistics in a road or rail transport and port operations environment in a mining supply chain.
- Experience completing investigations
- Computer skills for the standard MS Office suite of products
- Exposure to dry bulk haulage in a mining, rail transport or port environment (desirable)
- Experience in managing or operating trains (desirable)
