Loans range from $1M to over $100M for investment, construction and site acquisition.PRIMARY ROLEThe Credit Operations Manager is a critical component in assisting the joint Heads of Credit with the monitoring, managing and compliance of Balmain's loan portfolios.ResponsibilitiesManage the performance reporting requirements for Balmain's loan portfolios.Undertake and maintain group exposure analysis and reporting, including geographical, borrower group and industry exposures in line with Balmain policy.Quarterly Watchlist and Non-Performing Loan Reporting.Prepare reports for monthly Credit Committee meetings and maintain minutes of meetings.Conduct regular quality assurance activities by auditing portfolio information to ensure accuracy and consistency across the portfolio.Lead process development and policy writing.Communicate new processes and policies to credit staff and assist with training where required.Maintain external consultants (Solicitors, Valuers, Quantity Surveyors, Project Managers) and ensure current information on standing instructions, panel appointments and insurance.Manage a small team overseeing loan covenant and milestone compliance; monitor and report non-compliance statistics.Arrears management and escalation to Heads of Credit as required by policy.Monthly settlement and decisioning reporting in comparison with delegated authorities.Assist the Joint Heads of Credit in planning and completing credit special projects.Qualifications / CompetenciesMinimum 5 years' experience in the commercial lending environment or experience in a similar operational or reporting role.Good understanding of commercial loan documentation.Highly competent with Excel.Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
