Title: Health & Safety Specialist
Location: Regional NSW
Roster: 5/2/4/3 or 8/6
Reports to: Senior Safety Advisor (Team of 20 in H&S)
Core responsibilities
Health & Safety responsibilities at large mining operation
Be a safety presence in the field - Hands on environment
Site safety improvement plans
Promote and lead a zero harm work culture
Health & Safety training and assurance to site employees
Incident investigation and corrective actions
Health & hygiene investigations and reporting
Facilitating site safety audits
Compliance with federal and provincial regulations
Maintenance of safety systems
Requirements
Health, Safety & Hygiene experience in an underground mining environment (Preferred)
Experience operating in a heavy industrial setting
Workplace investigations
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Mining hazard identification
Familiar with NSW regulations
