Our Federal Government Client is seeking multiple APS3 Participant Support Officers for their Ararat office to join their evolving team in a temporary 4-month assignment with the potential to extend.
**Your new role**
As the APS3 Participant Support Officer, you will manage and resolve participant matters in a public contact role, communicating and providing straight forward advice to a range of internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities will include:
- Providing counter/reception support for the local office including participant enquiries in the self-help kiosks and online support.
- Resolving customer enquiries, providing information and/or referring customers to appropriate government or community services.
- Coordinating appointments with the use of Agency office facilities and ensuring facilities are accessible for participants.
- Undertaking research and investigation activities and preparing associated reports and correspondence.
- Undertaking a range of data entry activities and ensuring follow up is completed.
- Receiving and recording complaints and other feedback in the Business systems.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To succeed as the APS3 Participant Support Officer, you will need:
- Experience in the disability sector desired
- IT proficiency; MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Teams)
- Experience in a customer service environment including administrative duties
- Ability to prioritise, and manage workload
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- An ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a sensitive environment
- Australian Citizenship and a Worker Screening Check (WSC) is required
