The Post Office Hotel in Coburg has an outstanding reputation for hosting small and large events. From private dinners of 20 guests through to wedding receptions for up to 200 guests, we host 2 - 5 events each week during our peak season.

We are currently on the look out for someone with hospitality experience who is interested in weddings and event management. Working closely with the events manager at all stages of the planning process, you will successfully deliver a variety of events including large private dinners, corporate functions and weddings.

This position would consist of approximately 15 - 30 hours a week during wedding and events season.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work as the function supervisor for functions and events in the absence of the event managers.
- Setting up function spaces as specified by the event order.
- Following event run sheets.
- Leading the staff event briefing at the start of each event and ensure rolls are fulfilled correctly throughout the event.
- Liaise with the client throughout the event.
- Liaise with the kitchen during the event.
- Coordination with suppliers.
- Ability to run a busy kitchen pass preferred but not essential.
- Handle any issues or complaints appropriately.
- Experience with IVVY preferred but not essential.
- Assist with the preparation of event orders, briefing sheets and schedules when required.

Key Skills:

- Demonstrated experience in managing customer expectations and the provision of high quality customer service.
- Ability to work highly flexible hours, including mornings, night and weekend work.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual
Part-time hours: 15-25 per week

**Salary**: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
