The Lizard Childrens Centre has been delivering real results to Children with Autism and their families for over 20 years. Lizard has a focus on work-life balance and encourages flexibility. Through steady growth, we are excited to be searching for Practice Lead Positive Behaviour Support. This role is integral to the success of the organisation, and will ensure clinical excellence is maintained within the PBS space.
As it is a new role for the organisation, initially you will be hands on delivering PBS Therapy while growing the business, working toward reduction of delivery of service and increasing Supervision of Clinical Staff. You will work in conjunction with our Intake Manager to strengthen relationships with referrals partners to ensure continual growth. Through encouraging growth, you will partner with business units within the organisation to achieve strategic goals and be able to implement them through high levels of professional judgement.
**Core Responsibilities**
- While having a consultative approach, you will lead team PBS discussions and will ensure agreement is gained by the team for specific initiatives in the PBS Plan.
- You will be present and approachable for the PBS Practitioners.
- Develop the team with a focus on meaningful activities for people and will promote engagement and relationships.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and clinical audits to be able to contribute to the growth of the clinician while maintaining clinical standards.
- Work within the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Commission requirements, the NDIA terms of business and any State Based Restricted Practice Authorization requirements.
- Oversee NDIS behaviour support practitioners and implementing providers who use behaviour support strategies and regulated restrictive practices.
- Provide best practice advice to practitioners, providers, participants, families, and carers.
**To be eligible to apply;**
- Post-graduate qualification in a related allied health field (PBS Qualification preferred)
- Be able to demonstrate significant management and leadership of other Clinical Staff
- Be a registered Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner (preference to maintain membership with Behaviour Support Practitioners Australia)
- Registration with AHPRA will be highly regarded
- Working knowledge of the NDIS Commission Portal
- Can demonstrate your ability to manage resource allocation and utilization
