Sundale is seeking a dynamic Kitchen Team Lead to oversee the catering operations at our 100 bed Nambour facility, ensuring our residents enjoy nutritious, delicious meals every day.This diverse permanent full time role will involve a balance of office-based tasks and hands-on kitchen duties working accross 5 days a weekMonday to Friday.Why Join Sundale?

You'll balance hands-on kitchen work with strategic oversight, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and excellence in every dish served.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and inspire kitchen staff to deliver exceptional food servicePlan and execute seasonal, dietician-approved menus (including IDDSI texture-modified diets) that meet residents' tastes, preferences, and dietary needsManage food safety compliance (HACCP), audits, and accreditation standardsOversee inventory, ordering, rostering, and budget controlCollaborate with clinical teams, residents, and families to ensure satisfactionMaintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standardsHands on role both in kitchen and officeDrive continuous improvement in kitchen operations and staff developmentAbout You:You will possess relevant qualifications and demonstrated skills in hospitality management, within an aged care setting.
The successful candidate will have:Possession of a Certificate IV in Kitchen Management (SIT40521) or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (SIT40516), or an equivalentqualification.Food Safety Supervisor CertificateMinimum 2 years' experience in a similar role withinAged Careleading a large diverse teamAbility to lead a successful team and have a strong sense of ownership and responsibility of the team's overall performanceDemonstrated decision making, problem solving and conflict management skills.High standard of food preparation and productivityStrong understanding of aged care catering standardsExperience in budget management and cost controlExcellent communication, leadership, and time management skillsCompassionate, resident-focused approachAbility to work both in the kitchen and office environmentsEssential Requirements:Police CheckPre-employment medical assessmentReady to Make a Difference?
