If working from Derrimut, you will be required to travel to Trentham at least 3 times a week.

**The Role**
As the
**EHS Advisor** you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of the EHS programs and personnel at the chemical manufacturing plant and our R&D site based in Brooklyn. You will also drive continuous improvements and monitor EHS performance ensuring legislation, codes of practice, standards, policies, operating procedures and work instructions are followed throughout the Australian Business Units

Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Provide Support as requested by the EHS Manager, which may involve international travel
- Ensure employees consistently adhere to and comply with the EHS management systems
- Outline and set effective behavioral based safety process, hazard identification systems and formal job safety analysis
- Ensure legislative compliance requirements are fulfilled
- Day to day operational supervision of EHS elements at Trentham Major Hazard Facility
- Assist with the effective integration relationship and support between EHS and the business needs
- Coordinate and supervise EHS aspects of facility projects
- Ensure maintenance of the MHF and EPA Licenses and ISO related accreditations
- Maintains event control of all EHS incidents/observations including ensuring investigations are completed and closed out
- Escalate categorised incidents to enable operational management escalation
- Ensure that all sites have emergency response capability through maintaining currency and testing of emergency management plans
- Support the Business Units to ensure that EHS hazards/risks /activities are identified
- Lead EHS elements of Australian MOC's, OFI's and corrective actions processes
- Maintain function health monitoring program against chemical exposure for Australian employees Lead EHS meetings and safety culture change with interpretation, analysis, motivation and education
- Conduct contractor pre-qualification assessments and ongoing auditing as required
- Manage the local and corporate iCloud EHS Management systems for accurate data recording and reporting of Australian environmental, health and safety key Performance Indicators
- Prepare monthly EHS reports and presentations as required
- Provide EPA with the Trentham site Annual Performance Statement
- Audit reports both on internal systems and external parties for the Australian Business Units on EHS related elements.
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Key Criteria**
- ICAM/ TapRoot / Root Cause Incident Methodology experience
- Experience in EHS, Process Safety Management (PSM), maintaining MHF and EPA Licenses and certification of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
- Can lead others directly or indirectly to manage change process
- Able to manage priorities, and set realistic timeframes
- Be flexible to cope with changing priorities
- Able to resolve EHS matters, including sourcing information and providing advice
- Experience with iCloud based EHS management systems
- Experience with Chemical or Plant Production Sectors
- Tertiary degree or higher-level occupational certification or Diploma
