The Senior Director will be responsible for expanding partnerships in both scale and depth, while fostering improved coordination and consistent program partnerships practices across the Habitat for Humanity network.
By stewarding existing partnerships and cultivating new programmatic partnerships, the position aims to enhance joint program implementation, mobilize program resources, and increase Habitat's collective impact in addressing housing needs.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram implementation (25%): Lead and oversee partnerships that deliver joint program design and implementation with INGOs, multilateral agencies, and other external actors, ensuring programmatic alignment with Habitat's strategic priorities.Thought leadership and learning (25%): Coordinate with program experts to share learning and implement joint initiatives that highlight best practices, generate evidence, and advance housing issues in global, regional, and national forums.Fundraising consortiums and co-developed initiatives (15%): In collaboration with the fundraising team, identify opportunities for fundraising consortiums to mobilize resources for large-scale, multi-stakeholder programs.
Where appropriate, co-lead partnership cultivation and proposal development with the fundraising team.Funding opportunities (15%): In partnership with the fundraising team, identify funding opportunities with institutional partners that align with Habitat's global program priorities.Partnership mapping and coordination across the Habitat network (10%): Lead the mapping of external partnerships across Habitat to strengthen coordination, reduce duplication, and identify opportunities for collaboration.
Develop and refine SOPs, standards, and process flows that guide consistent partnership engagement.
Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaborative approaches to maximize collective impact from institutional partnerships.Partnership performance and impact assessment (10%): Establish and track key performance indicators and reporting systems to assess the impact of partnerships, including influence, program outcomes, and overall community impact.
Provide quarterly and annual reporting with recommendations.Minimum RequirementsEducation: Or equivalent experience (if applicable)Bachelor's degree in public administration, business, marketing, or a related field.
Master's degree in public administration, or international development is preferredYears of Related Experience: 7 years of experience in an equivalent role, in the nonprofit, international development and/or housing sectorStrong knowledge of programs in international development programs.
Knowledge of affordable and adequate housing is a plus.Proven experience in managing and scaling partnerships and strategic alliancesStrong knowledge of collaboration and IT tools (e.g. Office365, project management platforms, virtual communication tools), and project managementExceptional interpersonal, coordination, communication, and facilitation skillsKnowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solvingRelationship management, negotiation and deal-makingFoster and steward internal and external organizational relationshipsWork effectively in a global and multicultural environmentInterpersonal and communication skillsProject management and results orientedCommunication and presentation skillsPreferred Requirements (in Addition To Minimum)Ability to manage multiple partnerships simultaneously and meet deadlinesAnalytical mindset with the ability to assess potential opportunities and risksExperience in implementing change management practices to improve internal collaborationActive support of HFHI Values: Humility, Courage, AccountabilitySafeguarding: HFHI requires that all employees take seriously their ethical responsibilities to safeguarding our intended beneficiaries, their communities, and all those with whom we work.

For work locations in the US, the hiring range for this position is $116,030 to $136,500.Staff hired on a hybrid basis in the United States near an HFHI office location (Atlanta, Georgia / Washington, DC and Americus, GA), are required to report to the office on Tuesdays.The position is based within commuting distance of a Habitat for Humanity International office (HFHI) in Atlanta or Washington, D.C., USA; Bratislava, Slovakia; San Jose, Costa Rica; Nairobi, Kenya; or Australia.
Hybrid-eligible.
