
Senior Director of Global Partnerships

The position of Senior Director of Program Partnerships serves as the primary liaison for partnerships with international organizations, corporations, and multilateral agencies. The Senior Director will be responsible for expanding partnerships in both scale and depth, while fostering improved coordination and consistent program partnership practices across a global network. By stewarding existing partnerships and cultivating new programmatic partnerships, the position aims to enhance joint program implementation, mobilize resources, and increase collective impact in addressing housing needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Program Implementation (25%): Lead and oversee partnerships that deliver joint program design and implementation with international organizations, ensuring programmatic alignment with strategic priorities.
- Thought Leadership and Learning (25%): Coordinate with experts to share learning and implement joint initiatives that highlight best practices, generate evidence, and advance housing issues in global forums.
- Fundraising Consortiums and Co-developed Initiatives (15%): In collaboration with the fundraising team, identify opportunities for fundraising consortiums to mobilize resources for large-scale programs. Where appropriate, co-lead partnership cultivation and proposal development with the fundraising team.
- Funding Opportunities (15%): In partnership with the fundraising team, identify funding opportunities that align with global program priorities.
- Partnership Mapping and Coordination (10%): Lead the mapping of external partnerships to strengthen coordination, reduce duplication, and identify opportunities for collaboration. Develop and refine standards and process flows that guide consistent partnership engagement.
- Partnership Performance and Impact Assessment (10%): Establish and track key performance indicators and reporting systems to assess the impact of partnerships. Provide quarterly and annual reporting with recommendations.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in public administration, business, marketing, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Years of Related Experience: 7 years of experience in an equivalent role, in the nonprofit, international development, and/or housing sector.
- Strong Knowledge of Programs: Strong knowledge of international development programs, with knowledge of affordable and adequate housing a plus.
- Proven Experience: Proven experience in managing and scaling partnerships and strategic alliances.
- Collaboration and IT Tools: Strong knowledge of collaboration and IT tools, including project management platforms and virtual communication tools.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, coordination, communication, and facilitation skills.
- Strategic Thinking: Strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving.
- Relationship Management: Relationship management, negotiation and deal-making.
- Cultural Competence: Ability to work effectively in a global and multicultural environment.
- Project Management: Project management and results-oriented.
- Multiple Partnership Management: Ability to manage multiple partnerships simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Analytical Mindset: Analytical mindset with the ability to assess potential opportunities and risks.
- Change Management: Experience in implementing change management practices to improve internal collaboration.
