mobilize resources

maximize collective impact
in addressing
global housing needs
.
Internally, the Senior Director
facilitates collaboration
across Habitat's
global program teams, resource development, and area offices to ensure that partnerships are strategically aligned
with Habitat's mission and global priorities. This role also
establishes systems to monitor the performance and impact of partnerships, ensuring that they deliver measurable value in funding, advocacy, and program outcomes
.
Key Responsibilities
- Joint Program Implementation (30%)
Lead and oversee multi-stakeholder partnerships with INGOs, multilaterals, and other external actors, ensuring programmatic alignment with Habitat's global strategies.
- Joint Thought Leadership, Learning, and Advocacy (20%)
Collaborate with program experts and advocacy colleagues to design and deliver joint initiatives that promote best practices, generate evidence, and elevate housing issues in global forums.
- Fundraising Consortiums & Co-Developed Initiatives (10%)
Partner with Resource Development and Global Foundations, Organizations, and Institutions (GFOI) to establish and manage fundraising consortiums and co-lead proposal development where appropriate.
- Funding Opportunities for Programs (10%)
Identify, scan, and pursue donor and institutional funding opportunities in collaboration with program and fundraising teams.
- Partnership Coordination Across the Network (10%)
Develop tools, standards, and processes to enhance partnership engagement across the Habitat network, facilitating knowledge sharing and improving collaboration.
- Partnership Performance & Impact Assessment (10%)
Define and track KPIs to assess partnership performance (e.g., funds raised, policy influence, program outcomes). Provide quarterly and annual reporting with actionable recommendations.
- Partnership Mapping & Strategic Alignment (10%)
Lead mapping of external partnerships across the network to reduce duplication, strengthen synergy, and refine partnership engagement practices.
Education
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, Marketing, International Development, or related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 7 years in a senior-level role within international development, nonprofit, or housing sectors.
- Demonstrated success in managing and scaling partnerships and strategic alliances.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Strong knowledge of international development programs (housing knowledge a plus).
- Highly proficient in partnership management, relationship building, and negotiation.
- Proficiency with collaboration and IT tools (Office365, project management platforms, virtual communication tools).
- Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in multicultural, global environments.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven project management skills with a focus on results.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Work Setting
- Based within commuting distance of a Habitat for Humanity International office in one of the specified locations.
- Hybrid work model (office and home-based).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, International Development, or related field.
- Ability to manage multiple high-value partnerships simultaneously.
- Experience in change management and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate opportunities and risks.
- Willingness and ability to travel globally (approximately 20%).

The actual salary offered for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including location, internal equity and the candidate's qualifications and professional experience. HFHI offers a competitive, comprehensive benefits package that varies by country and typically includes vacation leave, sick leave, personal days, health insurance options, retirement plan contributions and life insurance.
For work locations in the US, the hiring range for this position is $116,030 to $136,500.
Staff hired on a hybrid basis in the United States near an HFHI office location (Atlanta, Georgia / Washington, DC and Americus, GA), are required to report to the office on Tuesdays.
The position is based within commuting distance of a Habitat for Humanity International office (HFHI) in Atlanta or Washington D.C., USA; Bratislava, Slovakia; San Jose, Costa Rica; Nairobi, Kenya; OR Australia. Hybrid-eligible. Must be lawfully able to work in any of these locations without sponsorship.
