Strategic Leadership Position

We are seeking a strategic leader to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience in rural R&D systems and pathways for communication and extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement portfolio strategies that deliver impactful outcomes
  • Engage with key internal and external industry stakeholders to strengthen relationships and ensure alignment with industry needs
  • Lead a team of professionals to identify RD&E priorities and delivery industry priorities in consultation with industry stakeholders
  • Manage external partnerships to ensure high-quality outputs and negotiate contracts to deliver value

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in science, business management, or economics or equivalent relevant experience
  • 10+ years of experience within Program Management including identifying R&D priorities, developing R&D plans, supporting budgets, and commissioning, contracting, and managing R&D projects
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in rural issues and the role of rural research and development with an appreciation of delivering R&D outcomes to end users
  • Experience in leading teams to achieve high performance and monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on program and project performance
