**The Opportunity**:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced & driven People and Culture manager to provide strong and innovate person centered leadership to our team on a fixed term 12month contract. You will build strong relationships and provide specialist advice and support to your team & leaders covering all aspects of people management, processes and policies, workforce planning, performance management, employment relations, as well as the operational day to day and strategic planning to enhance the culture of the team

***Role & Responsibilities**:

- Conduct regular meetings with Managers to develop a solid understanding of their service, its challenges and where the People & Culture team can provide guidance and support.
- Maintain an 'open door' communication with all staff and facilitate connection between employees and the executive team of the business.
- Review and maintain all HR policies, procedures, and documentation
- Support, guide and lead a team of HR Professionals
- Partnering with managers to support workforce planning and workforce engagement
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance whilst partnering with the Employment Relations team
- Contribute to the development of organisation wide projects.

**About you?**
- Advanced communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal)
- Effective negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders, ensuring successful relationships are developed and maintained
- Experience in successfully Leading and guiding a HR team
- Effective listening and partnering skills
- Desire to make a difference and have a passion for proactive HR practices
- Ability to support and coach stakeholders and team members
- Tertiary qualifications within Human Resources or relevant field
- Current Class c drivers' licence
- A current Working with Children check (with clearance to work with children)
- National Police Check (Newcastle Anglican will consider the relevance of any reported outcomes)
