Job Title: Strategic People Partner

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our organization on a 12-month fixed term contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of our business.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Human Resource Management, with experience working in a mining or heavy industry environment. They will be able to provide high-quality HR advice and support, driving business results and improving efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coaching and Development: Provide coaching, training, and advising services to managers on people-related issues, equipping them with the necessary tools and knowledge to lead and manage their teams effectively.
  • Relationship Building: Develop strong relationships with regional senior managers, influencing and supporting them to shape and deliver people plans that align with business goals.
  • Performance Metrics: Provide regular performance metrics to the business, communicating progress against people plans and key HR objectives.
  • Transformational Advice: Offer transformational advice and transactional support across the business, covering policy and process change, as well as supporting specific business changes to improve cost and efficiency.
  • Cultural Change: Influence, advise, and support the people and cultural aspects of organizational change, positioning the business to deliver on its strategic direction.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Recognized tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management or a related field.
  • Industry Experience: Proven experience working in a mining or heavy industry environment.
  • Legal Knowledge: A sound understanding of industrial instruments and employment law.
  • Professional Attributes: Highly organized, solutions-focused professional who can thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Business Acumen: Demonstrated experience in delivering business-focused HR advice.
