About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of fixed asset management and contribute to process improvement and efficiency across the finance function.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining fixed asset registers, preparing and executing end-of-month reporting, and reviewing work-in-progress to ensure accurate capitalization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain fixed asset registers, including maintenance, management, amendments, and retirement
  • Prepare and execute all end-of-month reporting and activities related to fixed assets
  • Review work-in-progress and ensure accurate capitalization
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities for process improvements and system efficiencies relating to both the Fixed Asset Register and the wider finance team operations
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to support asset governance
  • Share knowledge, provide education and training to non-asset accounting team members to raise awareness of policy and procedure adherence
About You

You will be a highly skilled professional with strong commercial and business acumen, high-level stakeholder management skills, and the ability to manage up, down, and sideways.

Ideal candidate attributes and qualifications include:

  • A tertiary qualification in Accounting (B.Com, Master of Professional Accounting) or similar
  • High-level experience with fixed asset register management
  • Strong commercial and business acumen
  • High-level stakeholder management skills with the ability to manage up, down, and sideways
  • Comfort liaising with internal stakeholders, including non-finance team members, and guiding them through accounting processes
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently with drive and determination
  • Solid experience and understanding of accounting practices and principles (AASB and/or IFRS)
Desirable
  • CPA or CA or nearing completion
  • Demonstrated experience in similar roles where Asset Register maintenance was a core function
  • Exposure to a wide range of ERP systems
