**The opportunity**:
We are currently recruiting Quality Control Officer to join our team in Visy Food Can & Beverage, Coburg. This is a full-time permanent position, working on our 12-hour day shift roster (7am to 7pm). As a QC Officer you will be accountable for the Control, Maintenance and training of all aspects relating to the Quality systems and processes for Food can ends. Reporting to the Quality Systems Manager your key responsibilities will include:

- Perform quality inspection checks and other procedural checks to ensure the best quality product is delivered to our customers.
- Maintain accurate production, process and quality records for the site.
- Minimise spoilage levels by identifying process improvements and production issues.
- Assist in training & development of production staff in line with standard operating processes and skills matrices.
- Maintain safe work and operating practices, and a high level of housekeeping at all times.

**What you will bring to the team**:
As our new Quality Controller, you will have previous experience in quality control and defect analysis within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will be a reliable team player, with a strong work ethic. You have good communication skills and processes a strong focus on Health, Safety and Environmental practices. Along with the following:

- Ability to work a 12-hour day shift on a rotating roster - 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on (2-3-2).
- Proven ability to work in a physically demanding and fast paced environment.
- The ability to work under pressure and display a good eye for detail particularly in quality control.
- Quality experience in metal or allied industry would be highly desirable.
- Proficient Computer and IT Skills.
- Australian Resident with unrestricted working rights.
- Forklift licence preferred or willing to obtain licence.
