**About the role**

You will be responsible for leading Kennards Hire's business development and account management for Vic by building and fostering a high performance sales team and achieving revenue and profit targets through the activities of that team.
- Conduct monthly sales meeting with direct reports
- Review account performance and allocation on a quarterly basis
- Coach, motivate and develop a high performing team
- Determine and assign revenue targets in collaboration with the State GM
- Identify opportunities for improvements in the sales process that inhibit sales performance and relationships and implement corrective action
- Manage sales costs and expenditure tightly
- Develop sales strategies to acquire new customers
- Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs and unique pain points
- Maintain intimate market knowledge with comprehensive understanding of competitors, projects, economic factors and trends
- Develop and manage the allocated account customer budget including ongoing planning, forecasting, monitoring & reporting
- Implement objectives and strategies ensuring growth in both sales and profit across specialist branches, products and customers
- Development of monthly sales forecasts/pipelines
- Oversee the development and implementation of Major Account Plans, Project Plans and Territory Plans ensuring strategic call planning across all identified levels within allocated accounts - focus on growth in existing accounts

- Proven track record of creating and leading a high performance sales team
- Financial and commercial acumen
- Data-driven, with highly developed analytical skills and understanding of pricing, margins and discount impacts
- Extensive experience in strategic business development including major account management and new customer acquisition in hire business or related
- Developed stakeholder management skills
- Proven conceptual and analytical skills and the capacity to develop and effectively implement solutions for a range of complex issues
