This is a 12-month casual position, based in Sydney (various locations available).
This role requires full availability, including weekends and public holidays, as the roads we manage operate 24/7.

About the Role
We're seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Network Operator to help manage and monitor road network operations in real time. This role is critical to ensuring safe, efficient travel for road users by responding to incidents, coordinating with stakeholders, and operating intelligent transport systems.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor traffic flow and respond to incidents using ITS, CCTV, and other systemsCoordinate with emergency services and dispatch response crewsOperate key systems including ventilation, drainage, and fire panelsCommunicate updates via Variable Message Signs and digital platformsLog incidents accurately and escalate issues as neededSupport training, mentoring, and continuous improvement initiatives
Skills & Experience
Strong communication skills in high-pressure environmentsSound decision-making and situational awarenessAttention to detail and ability to follow proceduresAbility to complete structured training and assessmentsExperience in traffic operations or emergency response coordination (preferred)
