NOC Engineer Role

Job Description:

The NOC Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our network services. This involves monitoring network operations, responding to incidents, and optimizing overall network efficiency.

  • Monitor network infrastructure and services for performance, availability, and stability.
  • Respond promptly to alerts, assess the severity of events, and take appropriate actions to address issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network-related incidents and customer faults within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Escalate unresolved or critical incidents to higher-level support teams as required.
Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include monitoring voice network systems using NMS tools and ticketing platforms, configuring and supporting voice hardware, and working knowledge of Cisco Call Manager, Avaya, Asterisk, Genesys platforms.

Additionally, strong problem-solving and analytical skills are necessary to address operational challenges.

Proficiency in telecommunications, specifically telco experience with a strong understanding of network operations, is also required.

Requirements:

Required qualifications include 2-5 years' experience in telco, with a strong understanding of network operations, ability to monitor voice network systems using NMS tools and ticketing platforms, experience configuring and supporting voice hardware, and working knowledge of Cisco Call Manager, Avaya, Asterisk, Genesys platforms.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are also necessary to address operational challenges.
