Job Title: Network Performance Director

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Performance Director to lead our network performance team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in data-driven decision making, strategic planning, and operational management.

The role is responsible for providing independent data-driven insights to inform strategic decision making and drive continuous improvement in network performance. This includes leading investigations into operational issues and incidents, performing root cause analysis, and identifying systemic issues.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in rail operations with knowledge of investigation and reporting on engineering, operational, emergency, and safety incidents. They will also have deep experience managing complex data sets, including data optimisation and governance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of recommendations to improve network performance and oversee the implementation of these recommendations.
  • Provide data-driven actionable insights to operational branches to improve network performance.
  • Be accountable for the integrity and transparency of network performance reporting to senior leadership.
Requirements
  • A degree in a relevant field such as engineering, computer science, or business administration.
  • Demonstrated experience in rail operations with knowledge of investigation and reporting on engineering, operational, emergency, and safety incidents.
  • Deep experience managing complex data sets, including data optimisation and governance.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience leading a function within a high-reliability/high-risk environment.
