Job DescriptionAs our Head Chef you'll oversee all kitchen operations – from resident meals to vibrant café offerings, events such as cultural or fine dining evenings – all while leading a passionate culinary team.
Your role will extend beyond culinary expertise and include the supervision of effective kitchen team management and general operations set out belowYour day-to-day will include:Preparing and cooking delicious set meals for residents who can't make it to the caféCreating enticing café menus and cabinet food that appeals to a wide audienceManaging food preparation for special events and celebrationsEnsuring full compliance with our Food Control plan and Health & Safety standardsManaging supplier relationships and excelling in budget and roster managementPlease to view the full job description.QualificationsYou'll be a qualified, experienced Head Chef with a passion for food and people.
You thrive in a busy kitchen, lead by example, and love bringing people together through great food.You'll also bring:Certificate III in commercial cookery or equivalent trade qualification as well as Level 2 qualified food safety supervisorProven substantial experience as a Head Chef in a commercial environment, aged care highly desirable.Demonstrated experience and knowledge of diverse and modified dietary requirements including various cuisine and cooking techniquesSolid leadership experience including budget management experienceA love for mentoring and supporting others in the kitchenAdditional InformationWhy Summerset?
