Head Chef – New Indian Restaurant (Sponsorship Available)

We are excited to announce the upcoming launch of our brand-new Indian restaurant in Melbourne and are looking for a talented Head Chef to lead our kitchen team.

About the Role

As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing an authentic and innovative Indian menu, overseeing kitchen operations, managing staff, ensuring food safety and hygiene standards, and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage a high-quality, authentic Indian menu with a modern touch

  • Lead, train, and mentor the kitchen team to maintain excellence

  • Oversee food preparation, portioning, and presentation standards

  • Manage inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships

  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations

  • Contribute to seasonal menu updates and special promotions

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in an Indian cuisine environment

  • Strong leadership and organisational skills

  • Ability to manage a fast-paced kitchen and maintain high quality

  • Creative approach to menu planning and dish presentation

  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene best practices
