**About us**

As part of the Victorian Chamber of Commerce of Industry (VCCI) network of brands, the Australian Government have contracted Apprenticeship Support Australia (ASA) to deliver a suite of apprenticeship and traineeship services through the Australian Apprenticeship Support Network (AASN) across Victoria to employers and individuals from pre-commencements through to completion of an apprenticeship/traineeship.

**About the role**

In this phone-based role, the Apprentice Coach provides tailored support to individuals assessed by ASA at risk of non-completion.

This service also assists employers who may be having difficulties with the apprenticeship relationship, which may result in non-completion.

The services may be short-term or ongoing and can be delivered at any stage from sign-up to completion. The issues that may arise for apprentices and employers will range from basic to complex. Complex issues may include but not limited to, not getting the appropriate training or supervision, ongoing disputes with employer, bullying, personal or mental health, performance and or OHS issues.

This would be the perfect role to bring your passion for supporting young apprentices to successfully complete their apprenticeship and have a successful career, whilst working alongside a collaborative, experienced, and fast paced team.

**About you**

This position is well suited to an organised and self-driven individual who can work autonomously, thrives in a busy environment and has the ability to build rapport with various internal and external stakeholders. In addition, you will have:

- Relevant qualifications are preferred however consideration will be given to experience and other qualifications.
- The ability to build rapport with young apprentices.
- A sound understanding of the Australian Apprenticeship System.
- The ability to detect and help resolve complex issues.
- Strong communication, liaison and networking capabilities.
- Proficient skills in MS Office, and the ability to use external computer-based databases.

The ability to interpret Government guidelines and other related legislation.
