We are seeking a Heavy Duty Technical Coach to join our Melbourne workshop, providing training for heavy vehicle technicians and apprentices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop less experienced technicians and apprentices to independently undertake troubleshooting, repairs and rebuilds on Cummins products.
  • Deliver Diesel Engine Fundamentals and Basic Diagnostic training to all apprentices in the region.
  • Participate in monthly trainer meetings and provide updates on progress against Heavy Vehicle Mechanical milestone training plan for the apprentices in your branch/region.
  • Communicate regularly with Supervisors, Workshop Manager and Service Manager regarding training program delivery schedule.
  • Maintain a focus on apprentice safety by participating in pre-start meetings to ensure their understanding of workplace hazards and risk.
  • Participate in the annual Apprentice Onboarding Program.
Requirements
  • Advanced level knowledge of and experience with Heavy Duty Engine products is essential.
  • Previous experience providing technical advice and coaching to apprentices/technicians is preferred.
  • Possess or be willing to work towards achievement of Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Minimum 4 years post trade apprenticeship completion is preferred.
  • Candidates must be based in Melbourne and willing to travel across the region as required.
