Heavy Vehicle Trainer

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Trainer to coach and develop technicians and apprentices.
Job Description- This role involves providing classroom, workshop, and technical training for Heavy Vehicle Technician Apprentices and new Technicians.
The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of Heavy Duty Engine products and experience in providing technical advice and coaching to apprentices/technicians.
Key Responsibilities- Coach and develop less experienced technicians and apprentices to undertake troubleshooting, repairs and rebuilds on Heavy Duty Engines.
- Delivery of Diesel Engine Fundamentals and Basic Diagnostic training to all apprentices in the region.
- Participate in regular meetings to provide updates on progress against milestone training plans.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Maintain a focus on apprentice safety by participating in extended pre-start meetings.
- Participate in annual Apprentice Onboarding Programs.
- Advanced level knowledge of and experience with Heavy Duty Engine products is essential.
- Prior experience as a trainer or coach is preferred.
- Possess or be willing to work towards achievement of Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
- Minimum 4 years post-trade experience preferred.
The successful candidate must be based in Melbourne and willing to travel across the region.
