**TECHNICAL CLAIMS EXPERT**

As a **Technical Claims Expert **, you will be responsible for managing the customer and claim journey. Success in this role will be ensuring the customer is treated with care, the best outcome possible is achieved and the customer experience extremely positive. This is a role where you can make a real difference in the lives of your customers.

**Primary Purpose of the role**
- Obtaining all necessary information on claims for the purpose of completing assessment and determine the cost and extent of damages
- Proactively seeking to clarify and resolve claims using the best method of communication and initiative
- Contributing to the continuous development of the claims process by identifying and implementing several opportunities for the development of products and process improvement
- Responding to claims in a timely manner
- Making approval or denial decisions regarding claims notifying the insurer of a covered loss as defined under the insurance policy
- Negotiating settlements with claimants in accordance with provided policy or guidelines
