Overview
Sales Director role at Regal Rexnord. Industrial Powertrain Solutions (IPS) Oceania is seeking a Sales Director to drive profitable growth in the Oceania market. The position oversees multiple Sales teams, establishes relationship opportunities in new market segments, supports new product releases for the division, and collaborates with the IPS commercial excellence team to develop training and competency for the clutch, brake, and gearing portfolios within the IPS sales organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for Sales & BDM performance in designated markets, including cross-selling from applicable group plants to end users, distributors, contractors, and market-specific OEMs.
Coordinate with Product Management, Finance, Engineering, and Projects to align market strategy.
Win and secure customer specification and preference for Regal Rexnord's portfolio in the given market.
Direct Sales responsibilities over specialised distribution channels.
Ensure a regionally sufficient sales funnel for regional orders targets within the company CRM.
Interface into the Global Matrixed Sales Organisation
Drive profitable share gains at key accounts, segments, regions, and with Regal Rexnord portfolio.
Coordinate and support share gain activities at top global strategic accounts; identify, prospect, and support growth at new strategic accounts.
Partner with Commercial Operations to document and track activities in Salesforce for share growth.
Manage and grow the top account opportunity funnel using new/differentiated products and past successes.
Assist Sales in monitoring, developing, implementing, and communicating strategic account initiatives to align End User offering across Marketing, NPD, sales, and operations.
Develop and nurture strategic relationships with key decision makers at identified high-growth End Users.
Collaborate with the RRX field service team to fill capacity and leverage offerings to increase business and product pull-through.
Develop customer value propositions using a value-based methodology and deploy these into customer-facing content and sales enablement deliverables.
Provide product technical support to the Sales team and channel partners.
Capture Voice-of-Customer to articulate market needs and champion ideas that solve customer problems as part of the NPD process.
Leadership over the BDM Team
Manage a team of approximately seven direct Business Development Managers responsible for Strategic Markets and Regional Sales.
Provide leadership and coaching to the BDM team.
Use a business calendar to manage Sales performance and deliverables, including weekly staff and sales lead meetings, monthly sales meetings, and coordination with Engineering and Product teams.
Lead Sales Strategic Planning Activities
Contribute to Go-to-Market strategies and identify growth paths.
Serve as an intellectual partner to the General Manager on strategy.
Contribute to strategy for strategic OEMs and verticals; assist with Product Planning and Roadmap reviews, market trend analysis, local regulations, competitor benchmarking, and price targets.
Manage release of Strategic Database and validate assumptions with stakeholders.
Coordinate with Engineering/Product Management to align on Strategic Plan; conduct Strategic Target review sessions with sales as part of the process.
Professional Experience / Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical education/experience
Demonstrated strategic thinking and Go-to-Market experience
Technical aptitude and understanding of Regal Rexnord's solutions
Experience defining strategy and budgeting across multi-division Opcos/Products
Willingness to travel approximately 40%
Customer-focused; sets high expectations and delivers; communicates well
Finds win-win solutions for business and customers; self-starter with a can-do attitude
Proficient with Office 365 (PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook)
Familiar with Kaizen and Lean concepts; knowledge of 80/20 methodology
